Once again, we can see the effects of social networking sites like twitter! Kristen Bell is rallying fans on twitter to either get Warner Bros to make her old TV show, ‘Veronica Mars,’ into a movie or to release the rights so she and the ‘Veronica Mars’ creators can make it independently.
mars fans-can we bug @wbpictures & tell em the must do a VM film?? new tactic. bombard em w/tweets, theres evidence of fans they cant ignore
#veronicamars fans send petitions & any obsessive behaior u have 2 @wbpictures & demand the film. they c no audience 4 it? i beg 2 differ.
lets include the man with the plan @slaverat1 (creator) & @danetheridge (prod) on this tweet fest…they wanna make it but need fan support
unfortuently they own the rights. they gotta make it, or set it free! we would be happy to make it privately! [sic]
Were you a fan of ‘Veronica Mars’? I’d like seeing an adult Veronica Mars :) Kristen also urges fans to check out her new movie, ‘You Again,’ which makes sense. If she can “carry a movie,” then it probably increases the odds of making a ‘Veronica Mars’ movie.

Let’s get one thing straight: machetes are awesome. So awesome, in fact, that the oversized jungle-cutting blade is getting the spotlight in its very own Danny Trejo-starring movie, “Machete,” out in theaters nationwide today.
But “Machete” isn’t the first time that machetes have had a prominent role in the world of film ? far from [...]

Broadway

Like most New Yorkers, I don’t go to the theater very often. This isn’t meant to be a joke—it’s true and it’s actually pretty pathetic. I have Broadway at my finger tips and usually go only when I have friends come in from out of town.
With that said, Mark is visiting from LA and we’ve gone to three Broadway shows in the past week. They were so amazing that I’ve made a promise to myself to go more often. There’s really nothing as exhilarating as live theater. It’s so energetic and passionate (when done right.)
In the past few days we saw La Cage aux Folles (with Kelsey Grammer), American Idiot (the Green Day rock opera), and Next to Normal (a Pulitzer Prize winning musical.) I highly recommend all of them.

Of the three, I think my favorite was La Cage with American Idiot and Next to Normal tied for second (they’re too different to compare or say one was better than the other.)
So anyway, I highly recommend you go to the theater on your next trip to New York (or simply go more often if you live here.) I’m going to try to go once a month. The next show I want to see is Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson.

Has anyone seen any good shows lately? I prefer musicals over plays.
